2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid pricing announced

Volkswagen’s US division has announced this week the pricing details for the 2013 Jetta Hybrid, a car that is scheduled to go on sale in Q4 2012 and it will have a starting price of $24,995, not taking into consideration the $795 destination charge. Under the hood there’s a turbocharged, direct-injected 1.4-liter TSI gasoline engine linked to an electric motor that generates 27 hp and a dual-clutch DSG automatic gearbox, providing the car with a combined power output of 170 hp and a peak torque of 184 lb-ft, enough for a 0-62 mph sprint in less than nine seconds. We don’t know EPA’s figures for now but VW says that the Jetta Hybrid can return 45 mpg (54 mpg UK or 5.3 liters / 100 km) in the combined cycle.

The 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid is going to be available in four trim levels, with the base model offered as we mentioned from $24,995, followed by the SE which starts at $26,990, the higher-grade SEL at $29,325 and the top-spec SEL Premium that begins from $31,180. None of these price tags include the aforementioned destination charge.
