2014 Acura MDX priced from $42,290

Japanese automaker Acura has released pricing details for the 2014 MDX which kicks off from $42,290 plus $895 in destination charges. The car will go on sale in July and will be offered with front-wheel drive and an AWD setup in the form of Acura’s SH-AWD system (an extra $2,000). Under the hood it can only feature a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 290 bhp (216 kW) and a peak torque of 267 lb-ft (362 Nm). This engine will be linked exclusively to a 6-speed automatic transmission. As standard, the car packs an uprated sound system, revised AcuraLink, 8-inch multi-function display, blind spot monitoring, jewel-eye LED headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Moving up the range you can get the Technology Package for $46,565 which has a color TFT screen, 19-inch rims, rain-sensing wipers, forward collision warning and lane departure warning. There’s also the Entertainment Package at $48,565 which has a rear-seat entertainment system, while the top-spec Advance has remote engine start, different alloys, 12-speaker ELS sound system and adaptive cruise control.
