2014 Nissan GT-R Nismo unleashed

Nissan has officially revealed today the Nismo-prepared version of the GT-R. Power comes from the same twin-turbo V6 3.8-liter engine which has received new high-flow turbochargers that have a bigger diameter and were borrowed from the GT3-spec model. In addition, the vehicle now has a better fuel pump combustion and each of the cylinder’s ignition timing control has been optimized. As a result of these changes, the output of the engine has been bumped to 600 HP (441 kW) and a maximum torque of 481 lb-ft (652 Nm). The GT-R Nismo also comes with bespoke Bilstein dampers for both front and rear suspensions.

Other improvements brought to the supercar include a three-mode suspension: Comfort, Normal and R, as well as Dunlop tires that were specifically created for this model and measure 255/40 ZRF20 at the front axle and 285/35 ZRF20 for the rear wheels. The Nismo-tuned GT-R now wears an aerodynamic body kit and rides on six-spoke black rims that have a black finish and are sourced from the GT500 racecar.

Nissan mentions that the car was able to take a lap of the Nürburgring in just 7 minutes and 8.679 seconds, thus making it the quickest volume production car in the entire world.
