2015 BMW 6-Series family introduced

The 2015 BMW 6-Series facelift has been revealed online today and will be shown in the flesh at the North American International Auto Show in January. The minor refresh has brought slightly modified front and rear bumpers, full LED headlights as well as new body paints featuring a metallic finish such as the Melbourne Red, Mediterranean Blue, Glacier Silver and Cashmere Silver. BMW has also added new 17-inch rims for six-cylinder models, 18-inch wheels for V8 versions while fresh 20-inch rims that have a multi-spoke configuration are now available at an additional cost.

Moving inside the cabin, the 2015 BMW 6-Series facelift lineup comes with better materials in some areas, along with the latest implementation of BMW’s head-up display tech and a few two-tone leather upholsteries.

There aren’t any changes underneath the hood as all engines have been carried over untouched, including the V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo which powers the M6 models where it pumps out 560 HP (412 kW) and a maximum torque of 680 Nm (502 lb-ft). The M6s need 4.2 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) and top out at 155 mph (250 km/h) but if you get the M Driver’s Package the maximum speed is raised to 189 mph (305 km/h).
