2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS fully revealed

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS has made its official online debut and is essentially a facelifted version of the GL. As you can see, the cosmetic tweaks have been kept down to a minimum as only the front fascia has gone through some changes, with the headlights now hosting the LED daytime running lights while the grille has a different appearance. The LED taillights graphics have been modified a little bit and we also can see some changes to the rear bumper, but nothing of great significance. New alloy wheel designs and fresh body paints round off the exterior modifications.

As for the interior cabin, the seven-seater has a new dashboard with a free-standing 8-inch screen for the infotainment system that can also be controlled from the touchpad. The optional air ionization system keeps the air inside the cabin fresh and clean while the new three-spoke steering wheel has been wrapped around in Nappa leather.

In terms of power, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS550 4MATIC now has 449 bhp and 516 lb-ft while the GLS450 4MATIC is rated at 362 bhp and 369 lb-ft. Upgrade to the range-topping GLS63 and you get a massive 577 bhp and 561 lb-ft while on the diesel side the GLS350d 4MATIC pushes out 255 bhp and 455 lb-ft.

The order books for the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS will open next month in United States and deliveries will commence next March.
