Mazda MX-5 GT by Jota breaks cover

The highly appreciated Le Mans team Jota has taken the wraps off the Mazda MX-5 GT which has been in development for more than one year in collaboration with the Japanese marque. The vehicle you see in these official pics is based on the MX-5 Roadster Coupe Sport Tech and is motivated by an uprated 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine developing 201 bhp. Thanks to this respectably powerful engine the car will need 6.4 seconds to perform the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run before topping out at an electronically-capped speed of 140 mph (225 km/h).

Aside from the beefed up engine, the Mazda MX-5 GT by Jota can also be distinguished by its carbon fiber rear diffuser, brilliant black roof, Bilstein dampers, anthracite alloys and leather-wrapped Recaro seats. Optional goodies worth mentioning would have to be the Ohlins suspension kit, carbon fiber rear spoiler and a front splitter made from the same lightweight material.

The vehicle can only be ordered from Lodge Garage Mazda in Aylesbury, UK for a starting price of 29,995 pounds.
