Nissan GT-R Nismo leaked ahead of tomorrow’s reveal

The Nismo-tuned version of the Nissan GT-R will be officially revealed tomorrow but details and photos of the car have already leaked onto the web. The vehicle will be powered by the same 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo engine which has been massaged to develop 595 HP and a peak torque of 650 Nm, representing a significant improve compared to the series 545 HP and 627 Nm. The additional oomph was obtained after mounting larger turbochargers, updating the intake and exhaust and also uprating the ignition timing. The power is transferred to a new set of 20-inch alloys shod in run-flat Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST tires measuring 255/40RF-20.

Nissan says the car was able to lap the Nürburgring in an amazing 7 minutes and 8.69 seconds at the end of September with Michael Krumm behind the wheel. It should be noted that the car came fitted with an optional track package that has a few carbon fiber parts that can lower the weight of the vehicle by 64.8 kg. The kit also brings a rear spoiler, front splitter, a lighter rate for the springs and manually adjustable Öhlins shocks.
