Alpina introduces 2015 BMW B6 xDrive Gran Coupe

Alpina has unveiled the 2015 BMW B6 xDrive Gran Coupe which will be shown to the public for the first time next month at the 2014 New York Auto Show. The stylish four-door coupe has gained an aerodynamic body kit encompassing a front spoiler, rear diffuser and a trunk-mounted spoiler. Also at the back there’s a stainless steel sports exhaust system while the stock wheels had to be dropped in order to make room for the tuner’s classic 20-inch alloys. Customers will have the possibility of ordering the car with an ALPINA Green or ALPINA Blue exterior paint scheme.

Inside the cabin there are illuminated door sill plates, a premium LAVALINA leather upholstery and piano black / myrtle wood trim. Alpina has also updated the instrumentation and applied its logo on the steering wheel.

More importantly, the tuners tweaked the vehicle’s V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine which now outputs 540 bhp and 540 lb-ft. Power is sent to the xDrive all-wheel drive system via an 8-speed automatic gearbox enabling the 6-Series Gran Coupe to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.6 seconds and a 198 mph (318 km/h) top speed.

Alpina says the model will go on sale shortly after its NY debut and in the United States it will cost $118,225.
