Ferrari reveals info about Enzo successor

Ferrari has revealed additional information about its upcoming Enzo successor, one of the most interesting cars of next year. Set to debut probably in Geneva in March, the F150 will get an improved V12 6.3-liter engine, the same one found in the F12 Berlinetta.

This power unit will work in tandem with an F1-inspired KERS hybrid system which will offer a combined output of approximately 900 hp which should be enough for a 0-62 mph sprint in less than 2.5 seconds, thus making it faster than the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

The F150 as it’s being referred to in the company’s official magazine will feature a carbon fiber monocoque chassis which will be 20 percent lighter and 27 percent stiffer than the chassis of the Enzo. All components below the monocoque will be shielded by the Kevlar protective plate installed on the body’s underside.

The HY-KERS system will slash the 0-200 km/h time by 10 percent and at the same time increase fuel efficiency and diminish CO2 emissions by an impressive 40 percent. Ferrari mentioned that the electric motor, battery pack and related ancillaries have a power-to-weight ratio of 1.

In terms of styling, the new flagship Ferrari will adopt some design cues from the firm’s F1 cars and is expected to boast a significantly improved aerodynamic compared to its predecessor. Reports are indicating that they will make only 400 units and all of them have already been sold at an estimated price tag of one million euros.
