700+ bhp Hyundai Tucson teased for SEMA reveal

Hyundai is teasing a 700+ bhp Tucson ahead of its premiere at the 2015 SEMA on November 3rd. It was developed in collaboration with Bisimoto Engineering and is motivated by a Theta-II 2.4-liter engine featuring a Turbonetics BTX-6465 billet turbocharger, high-performance fuel injectors, custom camshaft, NGK Iridium spark plugs and new fuel rails. In addition, the heavily modified motor has gained an Infiniti 6 ECU and a bespoke exhaust system. All of these changes have boosted output to more than 700 bhp (522 kW) sent to the wheels with help from a 6-speed manual gearbox that comes equipped with a Stage 5 clutch.

Aside from receiving a more powerful heart, the 700+ bhp Tucson also has an Air Ride suspension, slightly more aggressive body and fifteen52 TARMAC-style 19-inch rims. Moreover, it also benefits from a thoroughly modified interior cabin which includes a four-point roll cage, Racepak IQ3 digital dashboard and a Buddy Club racing seat.

Needless to say, the high-powered Tucson is just for show as there aren’t any plans to roll out a production version since the vehicle was developed for the sole purpose of being exhibited at SEMA in a little over a month from now.
