Subaru launches WRX STI S207 special edition in Tokyo

Subaru has lifted the veils off the WRX STI S207 special edition in Japan at the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show. Only 400 units will ever be made and all are destined for the domestic market where the customers will be able to enjoy the uprated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine that now churns an impressive 328 PS and 431 Nm which makes it 20 PS and 38 Nm more powerful than before. The added oomph was possible by updating the turbocharger, remapping the motor’s ECU and also installing a performance muffler that comes with a lowered back pressure and is paired to a new rear exhaust pipe.
