2016 Honda CR-Z announced with minor changes

The 2016 Honda CR-Z has been introduced in United States with several tweaks both inside and out. Work started on the outside where the car now adopts a more angular design which according to the Japanese marque gives the hybrid coupe a “more chiseled look” thanks to the reworked front grille, fog light wells and the reshaped front and rear bumpers. There’s not much going on inside the cabin, but we do have to mention the brushed metallic finish on the front paneling, center console and door handles while the newly added EX-L Navi flagship model comes with heated leather-wrapped seats. The new electronic parking brake has freed some room on the center console that now has a new armrest and a deep storage compartment.

The 2016 Honda CR-Z is powered by the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine working together with an electric motor to generate a combined output of 130 bhp available at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 140 lb-ft when equipped with the six-speed manual as with the optional CVT the torque drops to 127 lb-ft.

It’s already available on order from $20,295 for the base model while the range-topping trim kicks off at $25,090.
