Mercedes E63 AMG by Performmaster packs 702 PS

The aftermarket specialists at Performmaster are introducing their latest kit based on the Mercedes E63 AMG. Judging solely by how it looks on the outside, you would be tempted to believe this is almost a standard configuration as aside from the custom wheels it looks pretty much stock. However, that’s not really the case as there’s more than meets the eye since the engine has received a massive power bump. The V8 5.5-liter twin-turbo no longer has 585 PS (430 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) as it now churns no less than 702 PS (516 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. This was possible after the tuner installed its PEC Tuning-Module.

Details concerning the car’s performances are not available at this point, but it’s safe to assume the Mercedes E63 AMG is now quicker than a standard model that needs 3.6 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h). At least we do know the 155 mph (250 km/h) electronic top speed limiter is gone and this has allowed the high-performance mid-size sedan to hit a maximum speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).

Needless to say, the same engine bump via software optimization can also be applied onto the more practical wagon body style.
