Kia pro_cee’d GT revealed ahead of Geneva debut

Kia has decided to publish the first two official photos with the upcoming pro_cee’d GT ahead of the car’s public debut set for Geneva Motor Show in March. The attractive coupe comes with a significantly more aggressive body kit, larger air intakes and a redesigned front bumper with red accents. It also has received a honeycomb grille with a “GT” logo, LED headlamps, larger side skirts, black roof and a new look for the rear bumper. It sits on 18-inch alloy wheels and benefits from a lowered and stiffened suspension. Stopping power is provided by 300×28 mm discs at the front and 262×10 mm discs at the back, both featuring red calipers.

We don’t have any official photos of the car’s interior cabin, but the Asian car manufacturer says the 2013 pro_cee’d GT will be fitted with Recaro sport seats, aluminum pedals and also a new trim. Under the hood it is expected to get a 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI connected to a six-speed manual gearbox. With an output estimated at 200 hp (149 kW) and 195 lb-ft (265 Nm), the coupe should be able to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) task in a decent 7.9 seconds.

It is set to go into production this May and will have an estimated starting price of 23,000 GBP.
