Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible confirmed for Geneva debut

Chevrolet has officially confirmed that the Corvette C7 Stingray Convertible will be unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show scheduled for next month. For this reason they have released a teaser image with the cabrio before its March 5th unveiling. They promise it will be the perfect “balance of technology, design and performance.” Although technical details weren’t released, most likely it will retain the coupe’s engine which means it will have a LT1 V8 6.2-liter unit pumping out 450 hp (336 kW) and 609 Nm (450 lb-ft) of torque which in the coupe enables the car to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in less than 4 seconds.

After its Geneva debut, Chevrolet will auction the first unit to benefit the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. The auction will be organized by Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach. As a reminder, the first unit of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray fetched $1.05M at a Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction.

We will have more details at the beginning of March when the convertible will make its public debut in Geneva which represents one of the largest car shows in the entire world, the venue where this year Ferrari will unveil the Enzo successor and McLaren will introduce the P1 production version.
