Mitsubishi CA-MiEV and GR-HEV concept en route to Geneva

The Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi has announced yesterday its plans on bringing two new concepts to next month’s Geneva Motor Show. The two are called CA-MiEV and GR-HEV and will be showcasing the firm’s next-gen advanced technologies. The CA-MiEV is considered to be a next generation electric vehicle that comes with a high-efficiency system as well as high-energy density batteries. Other than that, it has been fitted with new motor and inverter, regenerative braking support and a wireless charging system. It boasts a lightweight and aerodynamic body, promising to provide a total range of up to 186 miles (300 km).

Regarding the GR-HEV, this would have to be a SUT – sport utility truck and at its heart is a diesel-hybrid system. The conventional diesel engine is installed at the front and transfers the power to the next generation 4WD system developed by Mitsubishi which has a Super Select 4WD mode and Super All Wheel Control. These systems work together to provide the GR-HEV the best traction available regardless of the road conditions. The concept will have CO2 emissions of under 149 g/km.

Mitsubishi will reveal additional details about both concepts in approximately three weeks.
