Qoros bringing production sedan and two concepts to Geneva

At next month’s 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Qoros will be bringing the 3 Sedan which is scheduled to go on sale later this summer in China followed by Europe before the end of the year. Customers will have the possibility of opting for a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine with stop/start system producing 126 hp and 155 Nm. The same engine is available in a turbocharged variant pumping out 156 hp and 210 Nm. Regardless of the engine, power is transferred to front wheels through a standard 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional six-speed, dual-clutch transmission.

Aside from the Qoros 3 Sedan, we shall also see the Cross Hybrid Concept which represents a crossover featuring a compact hatchback body motivated by a hybrid drivetrain. Under the hood is a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo engine which is coupled to an electric motor located above the rear axle. The second electric motor, known as Integrated Starter Generator, has been positioned between the transmission and the gasoline engine. As a result, the Qoros 3 Cross Hybrid Concept boasts all-wheel drive capabilities.

Lastly, there’s also the Qoros 3 Estate Concept which serves as a preview for a future station wagon part of Qoros’ lineup, with the styling cues seen on the sedan. The rear seats can be folded flat to allow more cargo room and also for having a flat load floor.
