2014 Acura ILX launched

Acura has released a minor refresh for the ILX which brings 17-inch alloys, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and leather upholstery. It has also been fitted with a new audio system featuring active noise cancellation technology, along with other goodies such as a rearview camera and heated front seats. The base model is powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter mill outputting 150 bhp and 140 lb-ft – the same engine as power, even though a Honda executive vice president previously described the entry-level version as being “underpowered”.

The good news is that for more money clients can opt for a 4-cylinder, 2.4-liter engine delivering 201 bhp and 170 lb-ft. This power unit can be connected exclusively to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Already on sale, the base model starts from 26,900 USD which makes it 1,000 USD more expensive than the 2013 model year.
