2014 BMW 4-Series Coupe unleashed

BMW has finally revealed the 2014 4-Series Coupe which is longer, wider and lower than the outgoing 3-Series Coupe which it will be replacing in the lineup.

In addition, the wheelbase has also grown by two inches while weight has dropped by up to 99 lbs. BMW will be offering the 4-Series Coupe in U.S. in a 428i variant powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged mill producing 240 bhp (179 kW) and 345 Nm (255 lb-ft) of torque. It can do the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in 5.7s and reach a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

There’s also the 435i model with a six-cylinder, 3.0-liter power unit generating 300 bhp (224 kW) and 406 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque. This sprints to 60 mph in 5 seconds or in 5.3s when equipped with the six-speed manual transmission, en route to an electronically-capped top speed of 155 mph.

The BMW 4-Series Coupe will reach U.S. dealerships this summer from $41,425 for the 428i and from $46,925 for the 435i. AWD will be optionally available for an extra $2,000.
