Lamborghini unleashes Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse

Just when you thought Lamborghini was done launching special editions of the Gallardo, another one popped up. It’s called the LP 570-4 Squadra Corse and will receive its public debut next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This new version is being described by the Italian supercar maker as bringing “race track emotion directly to the road”. The car is based on the Super Trofeo version and has received this moniker after the firm’s motorsport department. It has a quick-release engine cover, various carbon fiber parts, prominent rear wing, tri-color stripes and several glossy black accents.

On the inside we notice a carbon fiber trim and an Alcantara-covered dashboard. Other goodies include racing seats, alloy pedals and Squadra Corse badging. Motivation is provided by a V10 engine churning 570 HP (419 kW) mated to a 6-speed e-gear transmission which sends the 2,954 lbs (1,340 kg) car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds. It needs 10.4 seconds from 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) and will keep on accelerating until it hits a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).
