2014 Honda Civic Tourer fully revealed

These are the first official photos with the 2014 Honda Civic Tourer which will be showcased in public next month at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. The production version was previewed by a namesake model earlier this year which looked really exciting, whereas this car seems to have lost some of its appeal but nevertheless it’s still one of the best-looking estate cars we have seen in the last few years. It adopts a rather familiar front fascia with LED daytime running lights and angular headlights. There are also wraparound taillights, a so-called “floating roof” and bulging fenders.

The interior cabin is borrowed from the hatchback but needless to say cargo room has been increased, with Honda saying the car can hold as much as 1,668 liters (58,9 cubic feet) of luggage. It also comes with “Magic Seats” in the back which can be folded down just by a simple motion.

Power of the 2014 Honda Civic Tourer comes from a 1.6-liter DTEC but its output is not known at this moment, however we assume it puts out 120 HP (88 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm). There’s also the 1.8-liter i-VTEC which probably generates 142 HP (104 kW) and 174 Nm (128 lb-ft).
