Opel Monza Concept unveiled ahead of Frankfurt Motor Show launch

Following a teaser disclosed about a month and a half ago, Opel is proud to introduce the Monza Concept which will be shown in the metal at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. We are dealing with a 4.69m-long four-seater which is 1.31m tall and has a special cabin that sits 15cm lower in comparison to other cars. Even so, Opel says it still has a lot of headroom available while the cargo area can hold as much as 500 liters. In addition, the passenger area is just as large as you’ll find it in a mid-size car.

Open the cool gullwing doors and you enter a futuristic interior cabin which lacks the usual screens as these were replaced by a projection surface on the sculpted dashboard extending from one of the doors to the others. This layout is made from no less than 18 LEDs while control is done via the buttons mounted on the steering wheel or through voice control.

Motivation is provided by an electric motor working in tandem with a compressed natural gas range-extending engine.
