Jeep Wrangler Polar launched

Jeep has prepared for its European customers a special Polar edition of the Wrangler which you’ll be able to see if you decide to visit the Frankfurt Motor Show which starts next week. Based on the Wrangler Unlimited, the car has a custom set of 18-inch glossy black alloy wheels and has been covered in a unique Hydro Blue exterior paint complemented by the black interior theme. Aside from receiving several Mopar accessories, the Wrangler Polar has a body-colored hard top and the “78° S and 106° E” coordinate as a reference to Vostok in Antarctica where the record for the lowest temperature recorded was established (-98.2 Celsius or -128.56 degrees Fahrenheit).

Jeep plans on selling the Wrangler Polar both as a two- or a four-door with a 2.8-liter CRD engine outputting 200 HP and 460 Nm. Clients will also have the possibility of opting for a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline mill delivering 284 HP and 347 Nm. Gearbox choices will include a five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual.


As standard, the vehicle will come with a height-adjustable driver’s seat, leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, heated front seats and cruise control. For more money you can order the Polar Pack 1 that brings a DVD player, USB and AUX ports, 40GB hard drive, a 6.5-inch Uconnect system and front side airbags.
