BMW 4-Series Hybrid confirmed for Los Angeles Auto Show debut

Bavarian automaker BMW has announced plans of showing the hybrid version of the 4-Series Coupe at next month’s Los Angeles Auto Show. Details regarding the car are scarce at this moment but most likely the car will ride on the same platform as the conventional-powered 4-Series Coupe and will get the same powertrain found inside the ActiveHybrid 3. As a result, chances are the 4-Series Hybrid will feature a 6-cylinder, 3.0-liter gasoline engine working together with an electric motor that provides an extra 55 HP for a grand total of 340 HP.

It can also travel solely on electric power for a maximum of 2.5 miles (4 km) at a top speed of 46 mph (75 km/h).
