Porsche Macan Turbo rumored to have 395 bhp

We have learned from Motor Authority that the 2014 Porsche Macan Turbo will be motivated by a V6 3.6-liter twin-turbo gasoline engine capable of pumping out 395 bhp (294 kW) and a peak torque of 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). The car will be exhibited to the public for the first time in November during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Turbo version will be joined by a base model and a mid-range Macan S which will be powered by a twin-turbo V6 3.0-liter mill. These engines will be mated to PDK or manual gearboxes sending the output to a rear-biased AWD system that encompasses a Torsen limited slip differential.

Although it will essentially be Porsche’s version of the Audi Q5, the Macan will get different styling which is likely to mirror its bigger brother, the Cayenne. In addition, expect to see the adoption of a different steering system and a sportier configuration for the suspension. Pricing of the Macan S could start at $52,000, whereas the range-topping Turbo will reportedly begin at $75,000.
