Opel Zafira Tourer receives 1.6 SIDI Turbo engine with 200 HP

Opel is describing the Zafira Tourer 1.6 SIDI Turbo as the “most powerful compact monocab” in the world thanks to its 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged engine which churns an impressive 200 HP (147 kW) and a peak torque of 221 lb-ft (300 Nm). The power is sent to the front axle courtesy of a newly developed 6-speed manual gearbox that enables the vehicle to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 8.9 seconds before topping out at 140 mph (225 km/h). When equipped with this engine, the car will have a fuel consumption of seven liters per 100 km (40.3 mpg UK or 33.6 mpg US).
