Aston Martin unleashes Vantage GT3 with 600 HP

Aston Martin has officially unveiled the Vantage GT3 ahead of the mode’s public debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Limited to only 100 units, the new model adopts a wide body kit made from carbon fiber which also boasts a few aerodynamic parts such as the rear diffuser, front splitter and a big rear wing. Even the hood is made from carbon fiber while the stock wheels were replaced with a set of 19-inch forged alloys wrapped around in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Also noticeable are the ceramic coated exhaust pipes and the black mesh grille.

Stepping inside the cabin, the 2015 Vantage GT3 has a carbon fiber center stack featuring touch-sensitive controls while the steering wheel has been covered in Alcantara. Other goodies worth mentioning include the infotainment system with GPS, along with the leather door pull straps and the carbon fiber sports seats.

Motivation is provided by a V12 6.0-liter engine delivering 600 HP (441 kW) and 625 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque channeled to the wheels through a 7-speed automated manual gearbox which allows the Vantage GT3 hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 3.7 seconds en route to a maximum speed of 185 mph (297 km/h).

The model is 220 lbs (100 kg) lighter than the V12 Vantage S and can drop additional weight if the customer orders the optional carbon fiber roof and rear window made from polycarbonate. All cars get a track-tuned suspension, magnesium inlet manifolds, Brembo ceramic brakes, limited-slip differential and a titanium exhaust system.

Aston Martin says they will kick off deliveries in the third quarter of the year but the Vantage GT3 won’t be commercially available in China and United States.
