Audi Prologue concept officially revealed in LA

The Audi Prologue concept has made its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It was developed to provide a preview of the company’s forthcoming design language and it takes the shape of a long and elegant coupe featuring a wide singleframe grille flanked by matrix laser headlights. We notice the beefy air vents featuring a diamond pattern while the front spoiler adopts glossy black accents. It should be mentioned that Audi also installed a sculpted hood, wide fenders and a set of 22-inch alloy wheels while the conventional door handles were replaced with electromechanically-operated doors opening up when touched.

Moving at the back, the stylish design continues and we find slim interconnected taillights, a subtle dual exhaust arrangement and a long third brake light together with a prominent bumper. Inside the cabin there’s room for up to four people and numerous tech goodies such as a digital instrument cluster, several touchscreen displays and automatically extendable/retractable rear headrests.

Motivation of the Audi Prologue concept comes from a TFSI V8 4.0-liter engine outputting 605 HP (445 kW) and a maximum torque of 553 lb-ft (750 Nm). Power is sent to a quattro AWD system through an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox which allows the vehicle to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in as little as 3.7 seconds.
