Audi Q6 concept leaks out early

A couple of renders believed to show the Audi Q6 concept have hit the web this week. The vehicle is due to show up at the Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September and will take the shape of an all-electric crossover looking significantly more different than other Q-badged models thanks to a sleeker design with a low roofline, flush door handles and a rakish windscreen. It also appears to be sitting on large alloy wheels and has a spoiler mounted on the tailgate to enhance the concept’s sporty looks.

Official technical specifications are not available at this point, but it is believed the Audi Q6 concept is based on the MLB Evo platform just like the second generation Q7. It apparently adopts an electric powertrain featuring no less than three electric motors and a lithium-ion battery pack that has a 90 kWh capacity.

The Audi Q6 concept is expected to have a combined output of 500 bhp and 700 Nm of torque while the battery pack should provide enough juice for a range of up to 311 miles (500 km).

Since a public debut is set for September at IAA, we won’t be too surprised if the concept will be shown online in full towards the end of August.
