Audi RS3 Sedan speculatively rendered

Theophilus Chin has released a couple of renders with his vision of the Audi RS3 Sedan which could actually happen in real life. A short while ago we heard a representative of Audi USA saying the RS3 will be sold stateside and since then many rumors have emerged pointing out the available of a 4-door sedan whereas in Europe the company sells the RS3 as a 5-door Sportback. If it will indeed cross the ocean in sedan form, we won’t be too surprised if the real deal will look a lot like these speculative renders.

Regardless of its shape, the Audi RS3 Sedan / Sportback sold in United States will be equipped with the same 2.5-liter turbo 5-cylinder engine developing 367 hp and a maximum torque of 324 lb-ft. It will likely be teamed up with a 7-speed S tronic transmission even though we heard some rumors about the possibility of using a 6-speed manual gearbox. Just like all the other RS models, the engine’s power will be channeled to a quattro all-wheel drive layout.

It should be just as fast as the Euro-spec version which hits 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.3 seconds and tops out at 174 mph (280 km/h).
