Audi SQ5 TDI exclusive concept limited to 50 units

A couple of months ago Audi introduced the SQ5 TDI, the very first S model to be powered by a diesel engine. That model is scheduled to go on sale in the first quarter of next year for a starting price of 58,500 Euros.

However, those who want a more premium version of that vehicle might want to consider the SQ5 TDI exclusive concept that has been developed by quattro GmbH and will cost a whopping 92,000 Euros, considerably more expensive than the model it is based on. It is important to mention that the pricing is available for the German market.

Both models are going to share the same V6 TDI twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine that produces 313 HP (230 kW) and has a maximum torque of 479 lb-ft (650 Nm). The power unit will be mated to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission that will send the power to all four wheels of the vehicle. The SQ5 TDI is capable of performing the 0-62 mph sprint in 5.1 seconds and it will keep accelerating until it reaches a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). It promises to return 32.7 mpg US (39.2 mpg UK or 7.2 liters / 100 km).

What makes the limited edition more expensive is the Aral Blue crystal-effect exterior hue, as well as the addition of xenon plus headlights and LED daytime running lights. Other changes worth mentioning include the four exhaust tailpipes, black Fine Nappa leather for the steering wheel and the gear lever gaiter, along with a woven leather for the center sections of the seats.
