BBM Motorsport installs tri-turbodiesel engine in a BMW 330d Touring

The BMW 330d Touring facelift (E91) has been rewarded with a new engine by BBM Motorsport. It’s now known as the “350D 3T” which makes more sense taking into account underneath the hood now resides a six-cylinder 3.0-liter tri-turbodiesel engine. In its standard configuration, the engine puts out a more than decent 381 PS (280 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) in models such as the X5 M50d, X6 M50d and the M550 xDrive. However, in this heavily tuned 330d Touring it has been tweaked to unleash a whopping 440 PS (323 kW) and 850 Nm (628 lb-ft) of torque.

As a result of the added diesel punch, the BMW 330d Touring facelift can run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 4.9 seconds which is a significant 1.2-second decrease compared to the standard car. It’s the same story with the 62-120 mph (100-200 km/h) task that is now completed in only 9.8 seconds, so it’s 7.5s faster than before. While a standard 330d is electronically capped at 155 mph (250 km/h), this one will be able to top out at 184 mph (296 km/h).

Aside from getting a different engine, the high-powered diesel wagon has received the front and rear axles from an M3 (E92), new 19-inch wheels, StopTech brakes and an aftermarket exhaust equipped with an active sound system.
