BMW M4 GTS concept breaks cover at Pebble Beach

After months of speculations, the BMW M4 GTS concept has now gone official at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. It previews a namesake production model and has received beefier air intakes, carbon fiber reinforced plastic hood and a Frozen Dark Grey Metallic body paint combined with Acid Orange accents. It also benefits from a carbon fiber rear wing and front splitter, 19-inch front & 20-inch forged alloy wheels and OLED taillights. The concept has received a main radiator and other extra radiators to cool down the turbocharger, transmission and circuits while the turbo also boasts an indirect intercooler assisted by another electric water pump.

In terms of power, the BMW M4 GTS concept uses an evolution of the 6-cylinder, 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine that has gained a water injection system which they say will boost horsepower and torque, although exact details about the engine’s output are not available at the moment of writing.

BMW mentions that some of the new technologies implemented in the concept will be offered on a production model that will be launched at a later date. The car they are referring to is the M4 GTS which is expected to retain the water injection system and quite possibly the OLED taillights.
