BMW unleashes M4 GTS limited edition with 500 PS

The highly anticipated BMW M4 GTS has finally made its debut in production form and only 700 cars will ever be made. It represents a follow-up to the namesake concept from several months ago and is in fact the fastest model BMW has ever made in its long and prolific history. It tips the scales at 1,510 kg which makes it 62 kg lighter than the regular M4 Coupe thanks to several weight-saving measures such as the rear seat removal, pull lops instead of door handles and an aerodynamic body kit which encompasses CFRP bits and pieces. This is also the first production car ever to come with OLED technology which in this case it has been implemented on the taillights.

The heart and soul of the BMW M4 GTS is an upgraded 6-cylinder, TwinPower 3.0-liter engine that benefits from a water injection system. This has bumped output to a massive 500 PS and 600 Nm which ensures a 0-100 km/h run in as little as 3.8 seconds en route to a top speed of 305 km/h. All that power is channeled to the wheels through a 7-speed M DCT which has enabled the model to lap the Nurburgring in 7:28.
