Chevrolet shows off the 2015 City Express

Chevrolet has published details and images with the 2015 City Express which is slated to go on sale this fall at a yet undisclosed price tag. The vehicle will get its first public outing this week at the Chicago Auto Show where it will be showcased with a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine rated at 131 bhp and 139 lb-ft of torque. Output will be delivered to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and will enable the City Express to have a payload capacity of around 1,500 lbs (680 kg). It will be capable of storing as much as 122.7 cubic feet (3,474 liters) of cargo.

The 2015 Chevrolet City Express is actually based on the Nissan NV200 and has roughly the same design, with the exception of the front bumper and grille. On the inside there’s a three-spoke steering wheel, a fold-down passenger seat and a driver information center. For more money it can be configured with reverse sensors, cruise control, remote keyless entry and tinted side windows. A technology package will add USB & Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview camera and GPS navigation.
