Heavily modified Opel GT gains LS3 engine

The tuners working at Mädchen & Motoren have finished conducting a wide array of modifications on a 2008 Opel GT. The vehicle was transformed into an ultimate track toy as it lost a considerable amount of weight, from the series 1,325 kg to 1,150 kg. Moreover, the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine was removed so that they could squeeze in an LS3 engine sourced from a Corvette but further tuned to unleash 530 PS. All that power is channeled to the rear wheels with help from a 6-speed manual Tremec TR 6060 gearbox borrowed from the mighty Corvette ZR1.

Other enhancements worth mentioning would have to be the 18-inch ATS rims shod in 295/30 tires, along with disc brakes sourced from a Porsche 911 GT3 RS working with 6-piston front / 4-piston rear calipers. The exhaust manifold was developed specifically for this Opel GT which also benefits from a quad exhaust setup and a Racelogic traction control system.

Inside the cabin there’s a Recaro Pro Racer seat, a welded safety cell which meets FIA requirements, along with an Alcantara trim, digital cluster and a race-spec steering wheel.
