HSV GTS Maloo unleashed with 585 PS

HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) has introduced the GTS Maloo limited edition of which only 250 units will be made, with 240 cars heading to Australia and 10 units to New Zealand. The product is being described as setting “a new benchmark in the performance market” and is essentially the ute variant of the GTS sedan so it has a similar aggressive front fascia with a honeycomb mesh grille and LED daytime running lights. It also comes with massive lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels, a quad exhaust setup and a remote locking hard tonneau cover.

Inside the cabin there are numerous goodies such as alloy pedals, sport seats and a sport steering wheel. Moreover, it packs a faux carbon fiber trim, auxiliary gauges and a MyLink infotainment system equipped with GPS navigation.

Motivation is provided by a LSA V8 6.2-liter supercharged gasoline engine outputting no less than 585 PS (430 kW) and a peak torque of 546 lb-ft (740 Nm) sent to the wheels through a standard 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional 6-speed automatic transmission. Other mechanical upgrades include a torque vectoring system, high-performance brakes, limited slip differential and a sport-tuned suspension.

Deliveries of the HSV GTS Maloo will commence in November.
