Based in Norwich, Trident Performance Vehicles has confirmed that at this year’s Salon Privé it will bring the all-new Grand Tourer which represents a development of the existing Iceni and will be showcased at the event between September 5 and 7. At the heart of this vehicle is a V8 6.6-liter turbodiesel mid-front mounted engine sourced from the commercial trucks made by General Motors.

This eight-cylinder power unit can run on various fuels, including bio diesel, mineral diesel, linseed oil and palm oil. The automaker says that this engine can develop 430 hp and 950 lb.-ft of torque at less than 3,250 rpm.

Trident has mentioned that a power boost is available for those who want more horsepower as the company has an upgrade package which increases the hp figure to 660 hp and the torque figure to a whopping 1,050 lb.-ft. The Iceni Grand Tourer is capable of performing the 0-62 mph sprint in 3.7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of almost 200 mph.

With a full tank of diesel, the car can be driven for more than 2000 miles (3218 km).

This vehicle is built to order and it has a starting price of 75,000 pounds (about $118,700 or 94,900 Euros).
