Jaguar XFR gets Speed Pack

At this year’s edition of the Moscow Motor Show in Russia, British carmaker Jaguar has released the Speed Pack version of the XFR. In terms of visual differences over the standard model, not a lot have changed but we do notice a modified rear wing and the discreet front spoiler lip.

At the heart of the Jaguar XFR Speed Pack is the same supercharged V8 5.0-liter engine that is capable of producing 520 hp and a peak torque of 62 Nm. While the standard model has a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h), this Speed Pack version will hit a maximum speed of 174 mph (250 km/h).

In order to be able to increase the stop speed compared to the regular model, the engineers at Jaguar had to recalibrate the ECU and also the gearbox. Most likely, they also ditched the speed limiter of the standard XFR.

Aside from bringing the XFR Speed Pack, Jaguar also introduced at the Moscow Motor Show the all-wheel drive versions of the XF and the XJ. This new AWD system is offered exclusively for the cars fitted with the company’s V6 3.0-liter supercharged engine that  generates 335 hp (340 PS / 250 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. This is a rear-biased all-wheel drive system that is capable of anticipating wheel slippage.
