Lamborghini Aventador tuned by Capristo

The German tuners at Capristo are known for developing custom exhaust systems for various cars, but they also develop other components for sports cars and various supercars, such as the Ferrari 458 Italia and for this Lamborghini Aventador.

With the latter they wanted to increase the performance of the LP700-4 by creating a bespoke exhaust system and at the same time reducing the curb weight of the Italian beast. We remind you that the Aventador is motivated by a huge V12 6.5-liter engine that produces 691 hp (700 PS), with a curb weight of 3,472 pounds (1,575 kg) which has been lowered courtesy of the engineers working at Capristo.

They have managed to do this by replacing some of the standard parts with others made from carbon fiber composite materials that have the same style and shape as the original components of the Aventador. These new parts include the rear diffuser, front grille, front & rear aprons, air intakes, mirror housings, as well as the engine compartment panels and the trunk liner. Thanks to these changes, the Aventador now weighs 88 pounds (40 kg) less than the standard model.

Capristo did not say by how much the horsepower figure of the engine has increased, but they did mention that their custom Lamborghini Aventador is now capable of performing the 0-62 mph in 2.7 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds quicker than the standard model. In addition, the top speed has also increased by 2 mph (3 km/h) to 220 mph (354 km/h).

The German-based tuner has also mentioned that they haven’t finished with the tuning program as they plan on lowering even further the curb weight of the Aventador by cutting some of the weight from the underbody, sills and the wheel housings. Further details will be released by Capristo in the near future.
