Prepare your wallet and bank accounts as McLaren has just announced the U.S. pricing details for the recently introduced 650S Coupe and Spider. The fixed roof model can be yours if you are willing to spend $265,000 while the open-top derivative can be had for a starting price of $280,225. If you live in Canada, the Coupe will set you back $287,000 whereas the Spider costs $305,500. Regardless of the model you select, it will come with standard carbon ceramic brakes as well as full Alcantara upholstery.
Motivation of both versions is provided by a V8 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine developing no less than 650 HP and a maximum torque of 678 Nm. Output is sent to the wheels through a 7-speed DSG that allows the coupe to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3 seconds en route to a 207 mph (333 km/h) top speed. The Spider will do the sprint in the same amount of time but it has a slightly lower 204 mph (329 km/h) maximum speed.
