Mercedes-Benz has prepared a virtual supercar for GranTurismo 6 which will be out exclusively on Sony’s PlayStation 3 on December 6th. The AMG Vision Gran Turismo is a front-engined, rear-wheel drive vehicle equipped with gullwing doors and packing an amazing eight tailpipes at the back to provide a sensational view and most likely an equally amazing soundtrack. Although we won’t get to see it on public roads, it should be noted that Mercedes-Benz has developed a 1:1 scale model to celebrate the inauguration of the firm’s R&D center in Sunnyvale, CA.
Motivation is provided by a V8 engine developed by AMG which packs an impressive 577 bhp (430 kW) and a peak torque of 799 Nm (590 lb-ft). The Vision Gran Turismo concept tips the scales at 1,384 kg (3,053 lbs) and has received an F1-derived interior cabin with a center display that “floats” above the race-spec steering wheel which provides the driver with all the necessary data.
