Mercedes-Benz Edition Sprinter launched in Europe

Mercedes-Benz is celebrating two decades of the Sprinter with a limited-run version called Edition Sprinter set to be sold in Europe. Only 2,000 units will ever be made and all of them are going to have a brilliant silver metallic paint while the front and rear bumpers will be body-colored, representing a first time for the Sprinter. It will be sold with either a crewbus or panel van body style and is going to benefit from black 16-inch alloys while 17-inch rims with a silver gleaming look will be optional. There’s also going to be some black graphics on the headlights which benefit from bi-xenon technology.

The list of cosmetic tweaks for this Mercedes-Benz Edition Sprinter continues with a chromed radiator grille, unique floor mats, “Edition Sprinter” labeling on the flanks, along with a leather-covered steering wheel and dark-tinted windows if you go for the crewbus version.

Power will come from the same array of engines found in the regular Sprinter and the model is scheduled to enter production in the following days. Mercedes-Benz says the Edition Sprinter will be sold in 19 countries from Europe and so far they have managed to deliver 2.9 million units of the model after two decades since the original Sprinter went on sale.
