Mercedes-Benz teases the 2014 V-Class

Mercedes-Benz is almost ready to put the V-Class moniker back on the map with this all-new model. The Viano nameplate will soon be axed and the new model will adopt a more passenger-oriented approach with a considerably more upscale interior cabin. One of the car’s roles will be to act as a replacement for the R-Class which as most of you know was far from being a popular car. It is important to mention that Mercedes-Benz plans on selling the 2014 V-Class in their showrooms where they commercialize passenger cars.

Little else is known about the car but reports are indicating the V-Class is going to be sold with a 2.1-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine which will allegedly be offered in three states of tune: 136 HP, 170 HP and 190 HP. All the available engines are going to be coupled to a seven- or eight-speed automatic gearbox that could be linked to an optional all-wheel drive system.
