MINI One First 5 door announced with just 75 HP

The MINI One First 5 door has been introduced as the entry-level model for the range. It’s based on the five-door hatchback and will go on sale in March with a three-cylinder 1.2-liter TwinPower Turbo engine benefiting from a variable camshaft control on the intake and exhaust side. It’s capable of generating a rather modest 75 HP (55 kW) and a peak torque of 111 lb-ft (150 Nm) available at 1,400 rpm. This tiny engine grants the vehicle with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in an agonizing 13.4 seconds.

The motor is coupled to a new six-speed gearbox which MINI says has been optimized for increased efficiency, comfort and low fuel consumption. Speaking of which, the MINI One First 5 door will need just 5.2 liters / 100 km with corresponding CO2 emissions of 121 g/km.
