Mitsubishi launches eK Wagon & Custom in Japan

The two models were developed in collaboration with Nissan and these latest variants come with gently curved surfaces together with flowing lines. The eK Custom can be distinguished thanks to its more aggressive front fascia that packs slender headlights and a bigger grille.

Inside we notice there are metallic accents, a three-spoke steering wheel, a bunch of storage compartments and a sliding rear seat. Goodies include an infotainment system with GPS navigation, rear-view camera and a push button ignition.

Motivation comes from a 3-cylinder engine rated at 49 HP and 43 lb-ft of torque. Japanese customers can also order the car with a turbocharged version of the engine that produces 64 HP and 70 lb-ft of torque. Both these engines are linked to a CVT and an optional AWD system.

Already on sale in Japan, pricing kicks off from ¥1,050,000 when selecting the ek Wagon or from ¥1,269,000 once you choose the eK Custom.
