Nissan Navara Visia launched in UK

Nissan has recently introduced a more affordable version of the Navara double cab pick-up truck in the United Kingdom. This entry-level variant goes by the name of Visia and is powered by a detuned 2.5-liter diesel engine and is already available on order at a starting price of 17,995 GBP. The previous most affordable version was the Acenta Double-Cab that had an output of 187 hp and cost 19,411 GBP. Deliveries for the new base model will commence as early as next month. The engine we’ve mentioned is a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder, dCi common-rail diesel generating 142 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm (258 lb-ft). It enables the vehicle to return 39.8 mpg UK during extra urban driving.

According to the Japanese automaker, they had to apply some “smart savings” in order to make the Navara more affordable, like the black front grille and interior door handles instead of the previous chrome-plated. In addition, it has also received a single tone front bumper and regular wiper blades as opposed to the more expensive versions which come with better flat blades.

As standard equipment, the Nissan Navara Visia is offered with central door locking, air conditioning, part-time four-wheel drive, ESP, Bluetooth support, CD player and a total of six airbags. The double cab pick-up truck has a maximum towing capacity of 5,732 pounds (2,600 kg) and offers a maximum payload of 2,756 pounds (1,250 kg).
