Peugeot 308 GTi revealed

The Peugeot 308 GTi has made its online debut and is now heading to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It uses the same four-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine as the RCZ R but it was tweaked for this new model to meet Euro 6 restrictions so now the CO2 emissions stand at just 139 g/km. The engine is available with either 250 PS or 270 PS and both versions have a maximum torque of 330 Nm. This is enough power to grant the hot hatch with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 6 seconds and if you opt for the beefier variant you also get a mechanical Torsen limited-slip differential.

Created by Peugeot Sport, the new 308 GTi is 11mm lower than the GT version and benefits from recalibrated dampers and rides on standard 19-inch wheels on the beefier model while the lesser version sits on 18-inch rims. The engineers have also made some updates to the electric steering and you will be able to turn off ESP.

The Peugeot 308 GTi adopts a slightly more aggressive body and comes with some interior cabin enhancements such as the red contrasting stitching, GTi badges along with red accents to denote you are dealing with a hotter version.
