Peugeot prepares Fractal concept for Frankfurt

Peugeot will be bringing to this month’s Frankfurt Motor Show the Fractal concept which takes the shape of a coupe cabriolet. It’s actually a very small car as the overall length stands at 3.81 meters, with the front and rear overhangs measuring just 0.52m while the car’s width of only 1.77 meters makes it a joy to drive around town. It’s also very light at 1,000 kg while the adjustable air springs alter the ground clearance between 7 cm to 11 cm. Power comes from two 102 PS electric motors sent to the 19-inch wheels while the on-board 30 kWh battery pack can last for up to 450 km (280 miles).

In terms of performance, the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) task is completed in a more than decent 6.8 seconds while covering 1,000 meters from a standstill will take 28.8 seconds. What sets this concept apart is the i-Cockpit interior cabin with 80% of the trim made from 3D-printed parts and there’s also a head-up display with a high definition holographic screen as well as a polycarbonate strip that provides other info.

Other goodies worth mentioning inside the Peugeot Fractal concept include an AMOLED 7.7-inch touchscreen and a 9.1.2 audio system that has three mid/high-range speakers in the front where we also find two tweeters, one subwoofer and two woofers while in the rear there are two tweeters, two mid-range speakers and a woofer.

Unfortunately there aren’t any plans to turn the concept into a production car.
