Renault Clio 4 priced in UK from 10,595 pounds

Renault has announced this week that they will open the order books for the fourth-gen Clio in UK next month, while the first deliveries are expected to occur on February 1st. Designed by Laurens Van Den Acker, the all-new Clio looks a lot better than the model it replaces and it will be offered only as a 5-door variant (estate version will be sold in other markets). It is 100 kg lighter than its predecessor even though it is longer and wider. The base model will have a starting price in UK of 10,595 pounds, while the high-end version will set you back at least 16,095 pounds. Trim levels include Expression, Expression+, Dynamique MediaNav and Dynamique S MediaNav. These will be joined next year by the GT Line which will feature the company’s TCe 120 EDC.

As standard, the fourth generation of the Renault Clio comes with an audio system with Bluetooth, front/side/curtain airbags, ETC, ESC, cruise control, height/reach adjustable steering wheel, electric door mirrors and front windows. For more money you can get the car with a rear parking camera, a panoramic fixed glass sunroof and the R-Link system.

Upon launch, the new Clio can be equipped with one of the three new or updated engines, beginning with a 1.2-liter gasoline unit with 74 hp, followed by a 3-cylinder turbocharged 0.9-liter with 89 hp and a 1.5-liter dCi 90. The smaller gasoline engine and the diesel are offered in a more frugal ECO variant when the client picks either the Expression+ or the aforementioned Dynamique MediaNav trim levels.

This ECO package costs an additional 250 pounds and brings 15-inch wheels or 16-inch alloys without extra costs, special pedal mapping, low-rolling resistance tires, thermoplastic boot opening surround, bespoke gear ratios – all of which lower fuel consumption between 10 and 15 percent, while CO2 emissions are slashed by 5 to 7 g/km.
